About
Laura is a former plant breeder, teacher, and budding illustrator based in San Benito County, California. She recently completed a botanical illustration class at CSUMB and discovered the world of scientific illustration--a place that embraced both her favorite pastime and horticulture background. With her newly focused lens, she is actively building work to shine a spotlight on endemic species (by California county) as well as native plants that thrive in residential settings. Drawing (pun intended) from her experience in horticulture, she believes if you can grow it, you can draw it!---
